The one big issue I have always had when it comes to writing my own stories has been the effective characterization of the people in the narrative. For me, there is a need for balance between motivation, description, actions, and ultimately attempting to create a person that will serve a much bigger purpose beyond moving the plot of the story along. In the past, I have fallen into that exact trap, which has led me to plenty of frustration and changes in the narrative I was trying to tell.
Because of this, I felt it appropriate to create a blog centered on some of my favorite characters in TV history that I have enjoyed over the years. This medium can give me a chance to briefly explore the development of these characters and what made them so special to me in the first place. I decided to focus on TV specifically, as I have found this medium usually gives more hours of development and characterization compared to a movie.Hopefully, by creating this blog, I can give you a chance to revisit some great stories and character moments, while also helping myself by following these examples of brilliant storytelling.
